Vacation, ONE YEAR BLOGIVERSARY, and Ariel

I'm cheating. My blogiversay isn't actually until the 14th. BUT, I'm not going to be here. I thought about setting up a post and scheduling in for the 14th but I wanted to be here and not ignore all of you on such an important day.

A year ago I had FINALLY completed (I use that term loosely here) my second MS-The Guardian Tribe. One person outside of myself had read it and I started researching what I needed to do to get published. I'd been stalking a few blogs by then. After researching and stalking for a while I realized I couldn't submit my book to an agent until someone outside of my friends and family looked at it. I realized I need a critique partner. But as many of you know needing a CP and getting one are two completely different things.

Thankfully, I happened upon Shannon Messenger announcing that WriteOnCon's blog was doing a message board for people to find Critique Partners. I went over to the board, ran to the bathroom and puked after seeing I had to post my description and first 250, and posted my information.

After looking at all the people posting I had an epiphany. They ALL had blogs. Every single one of them. GAH! I had mine set up but had never written a post or, God forbid, hit publish. Who the heck would even read my posts? My hubby? But I had to do it.  Everyone else was. ;0)

And I want to thank every single person who has followed me, left a comment, cheered me on through rejection, cheered me on through discovering new ideas, made me laugh, made me cry, kicked my butt when I needed it, allowed me to slack when I got burnt out, and in general made this the most amazing year of my life!!!

THANK YOU!!

I will be on vacation all next week. I have decided not to post while I'm gone and will come back with FFF's blogfest Hookers and Hangers. I will be running around Disneyland chasing after my husband. Yes, you heard that right. He is the most excited to go. So in honor of Disney. The Friday song will be one of my favorites when I was growing up.

Have a great week!!!!!!! I'll miss you. Oh and I'm over at FFF today with Amanda. WOOHOO.
